There’s an article at wired (http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/05/extremelaser/) about extreme ultraviolet light and the photoelectric effect. Interesting new results, especially the revelation that
“Light has been caught kicking electrons out of atoms since the 1830s.”
Only since the 1830s??!?!?!?!
Yes, I loved this. “Either it will happen or it won’t… so that’s 50/50.” “I don’t think probability works that way.”
Yeah, I love that. It is my favourite part!
