Science Film Connections

So journalist Pamela Johnson (no relation!) did a nice article last week about the science+film competition I mentioned to you (see also here). It is entitled “It Could Happen One Night”, and you can take a look at it here.

If you’re a student at USC and thinking that you can’t do this because you don’t know about science, or you don’t know about film… don’t give up! You might just need help to figure out how to get in contact with students who also want to get involved in making a film and want to learn more about one side or another (so you’re in the sciences or engineering, etc, and want to team up with someone in film, or the other way around, for example), so email me! I’ve been having lots of meetings with professors in the School of Cinematic Arts on the one hand, and in various other areas, and there are students interested… we can help put them all in touch with each other! If you’re a professor or member of staff at USC who might be able to help play “matchmaker” in this regard, email me! My contact information is here, and of course visit sciencefilms.usc.edu for more.

I think I will try and set up a blog or something like that over the weekend to try to coordinate this connectivity a bit…

The deadline for registration is approaching fast, so act soon. There’s time…

This’ll be fun – and rewarding!
