Have a look at some of the sunspot movies and eruptions on the sun’s surface that have been released recently by the new Japanese probe Hinode.
There are plenty more such lovely images (and movies) on this website, and there’s a recent BBC story on the eruptions.

Beautiful picture! It doesn’t quite look like an eye, though. It looks a lot like something I’ve seen before, but right now I can’t put my finger on what exactly it is.

For me it is much more like Inner Eyelid Theater–those strange visions that are created by closing one’s eyes after seeing extremely bright lights. The picture is really great, thanks Clifford.

Joe, bacause the dark region of this sun-spot not only has an irregular shape but has irregular edges as well, I can see why you’d think this image doesn’t “quite look like an eye”. I must say, though, this “Eye on the Sun” could be most fittingly described as a “starburst pupil”.;)

Wayne Hu is a good clue here about how we might see the “eye of the sun?”
The Sun resonates like a huge musical instrument. The pitch of the resonance depends on the physical conditions in the interior of the Sun where the sound waves travel. The path the sound waves take also determines the spatial pattern the resonant modes of oscillation display at the solar surface.
Plato writes well on the Sun resonating like a huge musical instrument.
Let us define this as a source vibration originating from an orb which keeps the matter around the Sun at that state(plasma) for the visible eye. The vibration in turn also lends/keeps the other planets in their state of vibration & orbit path.
So an earth will always vibrate at this frequency. And a venus will always vibrate at its frequency.
These vibrations will sustain those kinds of life forms.
As we see on earth, life forms matching the frequency here. (Alas: we havent’ seen other life forms on the Sun !!!).
The Solar orb also receives or is sustained by the vibration from the central orb in the Galaxy.
