Giant Still Standing

The giant still stands, at least for now. From the preprint site:

This paper is being withdrawn by the author due a serious flaw.

I would not be surprised to learn later that her work, even if flawed, has led the way to helping solve this long-standing problem.

    The paper reads like the work of a kook.
    Why am I not surprised that it was withdrawn….

    Well, I am not in a position to judge. Eye of the beholder and all that. Lots of good people seemed to think there may have been something there, as far as I know.
