Where I’d Rather Be…?

(Click for larger view…)floorboards_shareRight now, I’m much rather be on the sofa reading a novel (or whatever it is she’s reading)….instead of drawing all those floorboards near her. (Going to add “rooms with lots of floorboards” to “crowd scenes”, and “buildings with lots of windows” on my long list of backgrounds to try to remember to not do again.)

Decided to do the roughs and inks for this panel entirely* on the iPad this morning. Just to keep things… varied. Hope to do some warm light on her from the window, since that’s what I like right now…

*Starting with the rough placements grids for the background stuff I’d drawn digitally on my desktop, I should say. See earlier posts for how I sometimes make those.
