Holiday time is upon us, and in this part of it, it is coming up on Christmas time. Really fast, it seems. The semester sort of petered out mid-week for me with the submission of the final grades for my graduate electromagnetism class (everybody did really well… fantastic group of students this year), and one last two hour committee meeting for another of those committees I can’t tell you about. I’ve found some time to think about some physics, and work on a new page for the book, among other things. There’s a panel to the right for your amusement.
In other news I have had the hinges on my oven door replaced, so now the door seals properly again, and also the door opens more than 1/4 of the way. This is good news for all the holiday season roasting and baking I’ll be getting up to!

“… think about some physics …” For some thoughts on physics in rhyme, google “john preskill blog schwarz and green”
Actually I don’t. I’ve never made that, I’m sorry to say. So can’t help you there! I’m sure Nigella Lawson can help… or at least one of her books can (she is a bit busy with other things, it seems). Or Jane Grigson, or even Delia Smith.
