Tasty yellow pear tomatoes (click for larger):
They have been showing up all of a sudden (it seems) on this plant from last year. I’d read that this is quite a hardy plant and it certainly is, lasting through from last season, through the cold snap, and now coming back more strong than last year. Apparently, it is quite an old variety, going back to at least the 1750s.
Had some just now with some scrambled eggs, some flecks of a tasty aged cheddar from Scotland, all on a bed of couscous. Quite a treat.

We visited the local farm stand the other day and some of the MOST luscious tomatoes were available… tis a good time of season!

Good that they are both tasty and prolific. Wish more prolific things were this tasty. That awful ivy I can’t get rid of, for example….

Yes, and at least here in Pasadena, they self-seed like crazy. They’re not as ineradicable as Jerusalem Artichoke, but they seem to come close.
