Well, the conference was all fun, actually. But if you mean “non-science fun”, then not really much. I was not there for long… I did a bit of location scouting work for the book project in the pouring rain, met a friend or two to say hi. Of *course* I had to do a late night visit to the Village Vanguard, though… Tom Harrell (and his band) were brilliant as usual. (I realise now that 3 hour jet lag is perfect for that sort of thing.)
