Sometimes a sharpie and a bit of bristol are the best defense against getting lost in the digital world*… (Click for larger view.)
(Throwing down some additional faces for a story in the book. Just wasn’t feeling it in an electronic drawing environment this morning for some reason, so had to reboot in analogue. And yes, for those who notice these things, I know that the MTA bus seat is a bit too high.)

*Actually was working with a micron 01 and realized I was overdoing the details and so picked up the sharpie to help feel out the big shapes in the end. Felt good.

Oh! You’ll like it. It’s great for development work where you’re going to maybe work in pencil, with lots of erasures and re-drawings, and then finish in ink. The surface can take a lot of abuse as compared to a regular bit of paper. Used by professionals at the drawing desk for that reason. (And hacks like me too…)
I *was* going to ask
brisol=bristol board, since you asked. It’s a stiff sort of drawing paper. You’re welcome.
