Hard to express my feelings about this news. Quincy Jones is a massive part of the foundations of my formative years (in so much music across genres and media). Inevitable passing, of course, but no less sad… Thanks for the music and inspiration Quincy!

52 to 48 % is not a close run thing. The establishment are the only ones with a voice in the post referendum mainstream media. They are talking up an economic crisis, that in any case will not materialize over and above the obviously to be expected initial shocks.
All we hear about is how Brexit voters were registering a protest, or were seduced by irresponsible arguments of brexit campaigners.
In reality, it is far more likely that many who wanted to vote Brexit succumbed to fear mongering, which is now acknowledged to have been the strategy of Remain – Osborne’s ‘Project Fear’.

Yes – and it wasn’t necessary. It’s devastating. In Cambridge we voted by a margin of 73% to remain which isn’t much consolation. Sigh.
