…are spent trying to figure out new workflows that incorporate a wriggly small person mounted on my torso. The rest of the house is quiet, it is still dark outside, and present are just me, him and my dreams of getting a serious amount of work done. The photo shows me in the process of answering the questions I’ve had concerning whether I’ll be able to draw freely.

Hi Robert… I’ve no idea what the answers are to any of those questions yet. We shall see!

Way to go Clifford – what a delightful picture. How do you and the wriggler get on when you are calculating? And how do you see it panning out as his wriggles become more purposeful and self directed? Teen-age years? Grandchildren? There will be no rest for the wicked from here on in..
Thanks Djena! see you soon, I hope! -cvj

Barbara, I’m already older. 😉
What can your sister say to you? My frazzled state for the past eight years now you understand!! Enjoy your quiet times while you can and teach my nephew to enjoy these times with you and who knows!! Your nephew is an early riser so my peace has been shattered for eight years!! I look forward to a peaceful sunrise with him and my nephew before too long!!! Mind you he missed the hurricane last year which you and Amy French shared with me!!!
????
Sounds like a wonderful morning routine to me. You can sleep when you’re older!.

Let’s hope the broken nights don’t last seven and a half years for you!
Mary, yes. I love watching the sun arrive. I am usually up early anyway (prior to baby arrival), and it is indeed one of the best times for work … The difference here is that I’ve only had a few hours sleep over the night leading to it, and I’m accompanied by The Wriggler. So, new horizons….
Wendy. I can imagine it worse, but trust me he’s already very wiggly, and very strong with it,
Great picture! My Not So New Early Mornings can be surprisingly productive. I find it a good time to write even it is just clearing e-mails and the like. However, the joy of spending time with my son (and this time is really special) before the rest of the household emerges is often enhanced by observing the sun rise. This can be quite spectacular in fact. Given the choice, I would prefer not to be up so early, but it does have its plus points!
It’s easy now. He’s not that wriggly. Give it about 10 months.
