I would recommend people start avoiding using the word “scientist” when they describe their profession. It is starting to become a dirty word.
Priceless summary, indeed. Yesterday, when I glimpsed Ida, aka the Now Famous Missing Link, being thrust under the full glare of the media spotlight, this diagram popped back up in my mind. Well, I wish I had more time to investigate the palaeontologic hype and see through Google’s one-day logo.
