Well, once the blooming starts, it really is (as I said in the post) all over Griffith park that you can see this sort of thing. This is accessible from the Fern Dell entrance. Head as though you are going to walk up the fire road to the Observatory, but as soon as you hit the fire road look to your right for a trail that goes up the slope faster. Take that. 2 minutes later you are inside that photograph. I believe you may be a week or two early for the full mustard treatment…. not sure…. have not been to that part for a little bit.

where in griffith park is this exactly? it’ll make for a great photo shoot i have set up this weekend. i’m short one location and this looks ideal. i need a tall grass field type of feel and this looks like it’ll be as close as i’ll get that isn’t too far. did you have to hike to this location?

My daffodils are prettier. 😉 They showed up a few days ago by the hundreds, and one can’t help but think of Walt Whitman…

(Yes, I am primarily happy that I have my OWN springtime to enjoy instead of just being forever jealous of yours!)

Los Angeles is never as beautiful as after a spring rain. Clear blue skies, green hills, and colors bursting all over the place. And the best is when you can see snow on the caps of distant mountains.
