I’ve had a huge number of meetings and other activities going on in the last two weeks. A great deal of it involved things I’d love to blog about. But I’ve found myself rushing off to the next thing, eventually coming home, having some time to myself, and then falling into bed before I can summon the energy to type. So what to do?
One option is to spend the morning catching up on the blogging… but that won’t happen because I’ve decided to devote the entire day to an engaging project (not physics) that’s I’ll tell you about later.
So let’s see… I’ll end this post with a trio of pictures I was probably not supposed to take a couple of nights ago (so have a wicked shiver down your spine from handling contraband goods), and leave you to guess what the occasion was. Daily Show fans might recognize the central figure, if not the set.
Tonight, assuming I’m not too exhausted from today’s project work, I’ll explain (a little), and tell you about the events of yesterday (including the excellent SCSS). Sometime later I’ll try to fill you in on a very interesting visit I did to see a restoration project that focussed on recycling, conservation, and sustainability. There’s some physics to come, and some interesting meetings on the general subject creativity, along with a couple of intersecting meetings that might help me find funds to support the ASTI project and increase its penetration…. I’ve been somehow brought into pitching an idea for and then helping out with organizing a big event for next year’s Visions and Voices program, and I’m happy to say that it looks like it’ll be a really great project…I’ll try to tell you about that when I can. And maybe I’ll throw in a report on a party or two as well, if I’ve got any interesting pictures…
Stay tuned.

Supernova:
Ha! You blew my cover!
Just decided to break for lunch and saw your comment. I sort of sped up some of the tasks I was doing on today’s project so as to stop for lunch sooner (as it is late)… now if only I was having mushrooms for lunch, I could have an excuse to do a blog post with the title “A Shortcut to Mushrooms”, but perhaps that would be pushing it on the wordplay front, even for me.

I see your LOTR reference, Clifford. You can’t fool us high-level nerds. 🙂
