Spring is in full flow here, and there were lovely contrasts to see on my hike in Griffith park today. It’s almost a year since the fire, and it has been interesting to watch the gradual changes that have taken place (see an earlier post too). It’ll be a very long time before the park fully recovers, of course.

What a nice picture. Could you tell me what the white flowers are – they remind me of some I have seen on hills in southern Spain and Portugal, which have a wonderful scent too – not something that even your camera could capture.
Thanks for the photo and update, Clifford. Recovery after forest fires is fascinating.
Thanks Christine!
Lots of the park is yellow -several varieties of little yellow flowers are covering parts of the ground- including in lots of the burn areas. Very good to see. I’ll put up one or two snaps I took later.

Our lives are made of small details that we see, feel and think everyday. But unfortunately many disregard small things which, in a certain way, could be worthy for a moment’s thought. That scene, for instance, would pass unnoticed by many people. Nice picture.
