Fandango Physics

universe expansion movie misdirect

(Click for a larger view.)

This amused me a lot. Spotted while on Fandango earlier this evening, thinking (mistakenly) that I was up for going out to see a movie. (Still not sure if this is coincidence, and is a term “expansion” used when a film is going into wider release, or a little joke by someone at Fandango.)

Long Day. Shooting. Science TV, so all in a good cause. Exhausted on sofa. My attempt to write a long blog post on the days activities were thwarted by bouts of falling asleep at the laptop.

I will get some sleep and try again tomorrow some time.

actually, it is already on my list of films to see – maybe this weekend if the right mood hits me – that is precisely why I was on Fandango. Probably going to see it at the Arclight though…

    Thanks for suggesting it, though.

“Across The Universe” is quite the psychedelic masterpiece aside from the hackneyed love story. I’d consider it more of an exercise in creative film making techniques. If you’re a beatles fan or just want to relax behind a screen of colorful imagery I’d suggest you check it out.

    Expanding into other realms:

Words are flying out like endless rain into a paper cup,
They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe.
Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting through my open mind,
    Possessing and caressing me.

    Jai Guru De Va Om
    Nothing’s gonna change my world
    Nothing’s gonna change my world.

Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes,
That call me on and on across the universe,
Thoughts meander like a restless wind
    Inside a letter box they
Tumble blindly as they make their way
    Across the universe

    Jai Guru De Va Om
    Nothing’s gonna change my world
    Nothing’s gonna change my world.

Sounds of laughter shades of earth are ringing
Through my open views inciting and inviting me.
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns,
It calls me on and on across the universe

    Jai Guru De Va Om
    Nothing’s gonna change my world
    Nothing’s gonna change my world.
