Sadly, after a vote today in Parliament, Britain and the USA are officially bombing buddies in the Middle East again. This picture* strikes me as accurate representation of the relationship.

*This stylised version was on a wall of the Standard Hotel downtown in LA. I was amused and surprised by the image (it is giant, taking up an entire wall.) I happened to be at the Standard one afternoon last week having a work-related meeting, because the rooftop bar is nice during the daytime if it is not too hot (yes, I try to choose fun and interesting places for my meetings). The original photo credit can be found in a 2011 article in the Guardian: Paul Hackett of the Press Association. You can see that the photo was edited by erasing the onlookers and making it black and white. I took a snap and in turn did my own slight adjustments to reduce some photo distortion.
