To make the point more clearly, have a look at the site Climatestations.com for data on how we’re doing for rain as compared to the seasonal average. It is very disturbing.
If you look at the graph from the site, last updated two days ago (click the thumbnail for larger view) you’ll see that the blue line is the expected seasonal average (over the long term) while the green bars are the actual rain we’ve had. January should be closer to 6 or 7 inches… we barely managed an inch!
