Winter Fruits

While it is indeed quite quiet in the garden at this time of year, that does not mean it is not producing. Here’s a bowl of lovely tart oranges that the tree has produced in large numbers. There’s also, if you look closely, a tomato! This was from a volunteer plant that I transplanted a while back and nurtured a bit. It still has fruit on it! (They fruited in late Fall, and have stayed on the tree ripening slowly due to lack of warmth, but all the same, I am pleased to see them.)

So there you have it… Looks like a batch of marmalade might be in order…

    Looks like summer to those of us in the land of snow and ice! I always start craving citrus at this time of year…
