This afternoon marked a somewhat late return to the back garden in earnest, preparing beds for a new cycle of plants, cutting back overgrown bushes of various sorts, checking the integrity of the drip system, clearing lots of weeds (but not all, since I like weeds – in the right place – and the sun will fry most of them in a few months anyway), clearing up old fig tree leaves, old bits of figs and other vegetation on the ground, and so on and so forth. Was a bit of a mess back there!
There much much more to do, but I had to stop for the night. It was an exhilarating two hours of activity.
