Haha. There’s a sense in which it actually annoys me seeing a bunch of monuments switching all their lights off for the one hour out of the year when it gets them good press, because I think about all the other hours they could be switched off, or at least lit more efficiently, but nobody would notice.
Actually, I had already booked tickets to see a movie at that time, so in fact I was in a room with no lights for two hours…. but that would have happened anyway so I can claim no special effort. On the other hand, I expect that the wattage on a movie projector is pretty high, so perhaps I should sit in a corner in shame for participating in high-wattage usage during that time…?
T’was a brief but good trip to #nyc. Managed to accomplish everything I had planned (except for getting a replacement mudguard @bromptonjunctionny) and there were many wonderful unplanned moments too (such as sublime solos from #jeremypelt and #SullivanFortner at Small’s).
Made a tasty lemon-coconut tart offering as a last minute addition to the Easter dinner menu. Wasn’t too bad! (A better photo would have shown more of the rich yellow interior.) #foodanddrink
Nearing the end of a Saturday morning hike. Was time to introduce the young fellow to some of the higher ground in Santa Barbara. It was a hit! #hikingsantabarbara

Like last year, I had a lovely candlelit supper with my mother. What did you get up to?
