Random guessing aside, I just wanted to say that I really like the word &lt;i&gt;scuppered.&lt;/i&gt;  It sounds like afternoon tea gone horribly wrong.  I don't recall seeing it anywhere other than the Cluracan's story in &lt;i&gt;Sandman: World's End,&lt;/i&gt; but my memory is a long way from infallible.</description>
