There’s something deliciously sinful about polishing off* these tomatoes while they are still warm from sitting on the plant in the afternoon sun… (Click for larger view.)
In fact, a good many did not make it far from the plant at all to feature in this photo.
They were all gone within the hour…

We harvested our first red tomato off the vine Monday night, admiring it as if it were a fine gem and totally savoring it. Can’t wait for the rest to ripen!
