High Table

Ooooh! A Puzzle. Ok, maybe not the most challenging one, but hey, I’m getting old, so I’m setting the bar low:

stools for the counter

(I’d originally intended to make some, but that’s a project for another time.) These ones will do for now. Assembly should be fun. Wait, there’s something missing:

stools for the counter

There. Nothing more satisfying than a project accompanied by a fresh cup of tea.

…And some 25 (effective) minutes later:

stools for the counter

Great. By way of explanation: The point is not that I am opening a bar (there’s an idea…), but that I keep finding myself standing at a kitchen bar/counter while reading, writing, blogging, emailing, etc., in combination with preparing dinner. So I’m giving in (the study not withstanding – but it has its role too) and getting some seats that fit the bill. (Also useful for parties, where the kitchen ends up being a focal point… at least my parties often do…)

Old? Irascibility is a harbinger of senescence, and Ikea products do more to raise the blood pressure, and the possibility of domestic discord, than anything else I have encountered.

Is this from IKEA? We’ve been to IKEA in LA once, Covina, I guess.
Very convenient. It looks the same as everywhere, and you know exactly what you get 😉

    Cheers, Stefan
