I have to admit that I much prefer the Long Room to the Book of Kells itself! The smell of that place alone is wonderful!

That is fabulous…this has inspired me to take more photos of my own libraries. Watch this space!

As a librarian who hates cataloging, the main thing I think of is “look at all that work!”

Gotta love the architecture, as well as the books that fill them.

    Hi, Clifford.

I’m a graduate student in Trinity College Dublin, and I noticed it’s not the first time you post a picture of something in TCD. Is there any particular reason for that? I mean, except for the fact that it was founded by the British…

I agree with Jonathan, the long room is so much nicer than the Book of Kells itself.

“Is there any particular reason for that?”

I really like TCD, the long room especially. Also love Dublin. And guinness. And, now I think about it, I suppose I have an affinity with a great deal of what makes up the Irish way of being.

Hey Candace….. Wow! I’d forgotten how lovely the UCL library was. Helped along by your excellent photography skills, of course. You are in and around my old stomping ground, you know.

Nice to know they have the book!

    I’m in love. Thank you!
‘Tis moments like this where you really go… Damn! I should’ve worked harder in high school. If only Indian libraries were half, no, a tenth as good…
    If only…
