Here are descriptive launch words from Mark Sykes, Planetary Science Insitute (PSI). Mark was there (not me- I have personal travel these days in the Baltics). ------- It was a beautiful morning with a full moon and bright Venus in clear sky with big thunderclouds to the East - which fortunately did not get close enough to threaten the launch. However, we were delayed a short time due to a boat moving in the the exclusion area and the space station was in the way for several minutes out of our 34 minute window. All went well, though, and the launch was spectacular. It has been a long journey, beginning 14 years ago when we first were pushing an ion propulsion system for solar system exploration missions. On to Vesta and Ceres! ------- This mission has a bright future. :-) Hi Clifford.
