It's good to see that Witten's talks are still a pleasure to attend. It was <em>great!</em> Zing, if you can't see the relevance (and flow of information both to and from string theory) in Witten's recent work (and his talk), I don't know where to begin to advise you to learn the required background. I'd try, but from the closed form of your comments, I suspect that you're not really interested in knowing, and have made up your mind.
