		<description>It appears to be one of my favorite species--&lt;a href="http://wc.pima.edu/~bfiero/tucsonecology/plants/wflow_sada.htm" rel="nofollow"&gt;datura meteloides&lt;/a&gt;, the sacred thornapple.  I have a picture on my refrigerator of my sister and myself (from forty years ago) looking at a large specimen on our property above Toganga Canyon.  At the time, my sophmore year at UCLA, i hadn't learned much about it; i just really liked it and its aroma.  A few years later, in grad school, i would become much more familiar with its role in american indian religious rituals, both in the north (datura) and the south (&lt;a href="http://www.brugmansia.us/" rel="nofollow"&gt;brugmansia&lt;/a&gt;) .</description>
