One of my secret hidden pleasures is late night TV watching of the satellite channel from India featuring Bollywood music videos. Now i discover that MTV is launching their own new channel featuring them, as well as other Asian material. They have said they will show lots of clips from the Fez World Sacred Music Festival now heading into its 12th year. If any of you ever get a chance to see this one, please make the effort; or at least catch the highlights tour that comes through the US once a year.

Navneeth... Yes, of course the cricket match was great! "Lagaan" is just about the only "sport movie I unreservedly enjoyed. Well, along with "Shaolin Soccer". Yes, I do know about Lata Mangeshkar.

Thanks!

So, did you enjoy the cricket part from Lagaan? :D Asha Bhonsle has also made some "pop" albums in the last decade, most of them being remixed versions of her late husband's (R.D.Burman) biggest hits. If you love her voice, you must listen to her sister, Lata Mangeshkar. Try to get the recordings from a few decades ago, which is still revered by listeners all over India.

Speaking of Queen, though, there's an interesting little article on Brian May in the latest ish of Physics World.
